It's not by chance that Art is the leading authority in his field. Art has a lifetime of restaurant, catering and hospitality operating experience. He operated cafés and restaurants at museums like the Getty Villa and Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), among many others, and owned, operated and provided off-premise catering services for corporate and social events.
In 1993 Art started consulting with cultural institutions. He helped these institutions create a great dining experience for their visitors, members, donors staff and volunteers. Thanks to his expert advice, the institutions learned how to enhance the visitor/guest experience and increase their earned income from food and beverage catering services and facility rentals. Over the years Art has provided retail store and ecommerce support to cultural institutions to enhance earned income growth, planning and programming.
“My first museum client was the Phoenix Art Museum. Over the past 25 years I am very proud to say that my team and I have worked with a variety of sizes and diverse types of clients including the National Gallery of Art, Miami Children’s Museum, The Field Museum, Currier Museum of Art, California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco Zoo, The Wild Center, and hundreds of other cultural institutions in the U.S. and Canada.”
Art is a past-president of the California Restaurant Association. He has been active with charitable causes and the Young/World President’s Organization for many years as well as with industry associations including AAM, ACM, ASTC, APGA.
